Written by Ball Morse Lowe | April 17, 2019

BML Events will Launch in March with Estate Planning Guidance

Is your estate plan accurate and up to date with recent estate tax law updates? Ball Morse Lowe senior attorney Jennifer Wright will guide attendees through estate planning essentials during the
Planning for Long-Term Care Costs and More” events in Norman and OKC.

These upcoming BML events will provide thoughtful answers to questions, including:

  • When do I need to update my estate plan?
  • How do I avoid probate?
  • How do I protect my assets from long-term care and nursing home costs?
  • What is guardianship?
  • What is an elder law attorney?

Ball Morse Lowe aims to help clients and event guests plan for the future and achieve peace of mind by guiding attendees through important topics, such as how to avoid probate and knowledge on guardianship.

Law Changes Impacting Estate Planning

With the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 going into effect last year, an estate plan previous established might need revisions. During these workshops, Jennifer Wright will go over how the law impacts estate plans and how to ensure your property will be distributed according to your desires, not dictated by Congress or state law.

“Estate planning has much less to do with taxes, and much more to do with making your wishes are known and honored,” says attorney Jennifer Wright. “Families change, needs and interests change, and sometimes your plan should change accordingly.” Jennifer Wright leads the estate planning, probate, and elder law practice group for Ball Morse Lowe. She will be leading both BML events to give the best advice and guidance.
