At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." -Denzel Washington

Biography

Alexis R. Thackurdin is a family law attorney at Ball Morse Lowe PLLC. A firm believer in using the law as a tool for advocacy, Alexis is committed to helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most difficult transitions. Her work is driven by the belief that everyone deserves strong, compassionate representation—especially when the stakes involve children, safety, and long-term stability.

Alexis began her legal career in eviction defense, where she quickly recognized that many of her clients were not only at risk of losing their homes but were also facing overlapping family law challenges, including domestic violence. This experience solidified her passion for family law and inspired her to transition into a medical-legal partnership role, where she primarily handled referrals involving divorce, adult and minor guardianships, protective orders, and paternity matters. Since then, she has dedicated her career to guiding clients through emotionally complex and legally challenging situations with empathy, determination, and a focus on achieving the best possible outcomes.

Born and raised in Rowlett, Texas, Alexis brings a grounded and approachable style to her work with clients. Outside the office, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her six-year-old mini poodle mix, Trooper.
