“At the end of the day, it's not about what you have or even what you've accomplished. It's about what you've done with those accomplishments. It's about who you've lifted up, who you've made better. It's about what you've given back." -Denzel Washington
Biography
Alexis R. Thackurdin is a dedicated family law attorney at Ball Morse Lowe PLLC. She has built her career around helping individuals and families through some of life’s most difficult transitions, approaching every case with compassion, determination, and a clear focus on protecting what matters most. Alexis believes the law is not just a set of rules, but a powerful tool for advocacy, and she uses it to stand beside clients when the stakes are highest.
Her legal career began in eviction defense, where she quickly saw the overlap between housing insecurity and family law challenges. That experience deepened her commitment to family law and led her into a medical-legal partnership role, where she gained broad experience handling divorce, guardianships, protective orders, and paternity matters. Since then, Alexis has dedicated her practice to guiding clients through emotionally complex and legally demanding situations with empathy, clarity, and tireless advocacy.
Born and raised in Rowlett, Texas, Alexis brings a grounded, approachable style to her practice. Outside the office, she enjoys playing tennis and spending time with her six-year-old mini poodle mix, Trooper.
