Ball Morse Lowe PLLC is an established and expanding law firm dedicated to providing clients with thoughtful legal counsel. We are currently looking for a highly motivated full-time legal assistant to serve our growing family law caseload.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assisting an expanding metro law firm in day-to-day operations, specifically in our Oklahoma City family law practice group.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Understanding the procedures associated with the field and court procedures
• Attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Ability to work in a group setting, as well as on self-directed tasks
• Initiative and teamwork
• Strong verbal communication skills and active listening skills
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively

Family Law Associate Attorney - OKC Metro Area

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in legal matters regarding divorce, paternity, child custody, prenuptial agreements, and adoption
• Draft motions, responses, declarations, financial disclosures, correspondence, and other family law related documents
• Make various family law court appearances
• Assist with trial preparation
• Meet with potential clients to consult on their potential legal matter and share why Ball Morse Lowe is the best choice for their legal representation
• Ongoing client communication and management

Requirements:

• 1-5 years of full-time family law experience
• Experience with tracking billable time
• Ability to handle assigned caseload and interact well with clients
• High-level writing capabilities and attention to detail
• Ability to make various family law court appearances
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to re-prioritize and work under multiple deadlines
• Computer literacy

Family Law Associate Attorney - Denver, CO

Ball Morse Lowe PLLC has openings for Associate and Senior-level Attorneys in our Denver office with a minimum of 3-5 years of family law litigation experience. Associates will be expected to immediately begin managing multiple cases with varying levels of complexity. Ball Morse Lowe PLLC is an established and expanding law firm dedicated to providing clients with thoughtful legal counsel. The Denver office is supported with a full suite of marketing, management, and support services to continue to grow our family law practice throughout the region. Candidates should submit a recent writing sample or representative case history with their resume.   

Essential Requirements: 

• Case assessment
• Manage client reporting, billing, budgeting and case management requirements
• Excellent interpersonal, networking and business development skills
• Draft motions, responses, declarations, financial disclosures, discovery, correspondence, and other family law related documents 
• Conduct depositions
• Exceptional research, writing and briefing skills
• Knowledge of state and local rules
• Meet or exceed monthly billable hour goals
• Occasional travel may be required

Qualifications:

• Demonstrates a high degree of commitment, honesty and integrity in all aspects
• Licensed to practice in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of 3-5 years of family law experience
• Able to work with a team in a collaborative environment or independently
• Critical thinking that displays initiative and adaptability
• Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, efficient, hard-working
• Strong communication, writing and presentations skills
• Proficient with Mac, and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledgeable of cloud-based software, web browsers, pdf compatible software, and related productivity applications
• Willingness and ability to engage in regular networking and professional development
• Lateral family law attorneys are encouraged to apply
